A: You can add a wireless router.
RR will rent you one by replacing the current wired router.
Apple has the Airport Express, small and simple to set up.

Apple Time Capsule included wired router, wireless router, print server, hard drive server, backup server, in one box.

A: Can try different brand of media, burn at a slower speed, try a different player, VLC from VideoLAN.  Movist from
Make sure disc in Finalized in burner.

In DVD Player, try Open DVD Media and point to disc.
