Topic: New Mac Mini and MacStack

Hello everyone. I am happy to say I have purchased the first new Mac of my entire Mac user experience, a Mac Mini, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.53 GHz. It replaces (supplements) my old AGP G4. After a few years of wanting (but not needing) to upgrade, I finally took the plunge. The old G4 would not run the more recent Adobe Graphics programs sufficiently.
I also purchased a MacStack external HD case from Other Worlds Computing. It not only serves as a case but also a USB, FW400 hub. I had to return the first one because the fan quit working after two weeks but another is on its way.
My girlfriend couldn't believe that such a small Mac would replace the much larger G4 but it does, and with finesse! Paring it up with a 25" flatscreen HP monitor is just fantastic. big_smile

Many people are so used to giant towers of past computers, that the don't realize that a tower is mostly empty space.

I was looking at the Mac Mini and am considering getting one.  I really want a Mac, but haven't decided which one to get yet.

The Mac mini in a nice option if you already have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
It makes a great replacement for an older tower.

If you also want a new display, keyboard, mouse, the iMac is a better value at $1199.
