Topic: Color Laser Printer

Okay, so here's another question. I'm looking to be able to output good (doesn't need to be photographic, but good) quality color output, duplex capability required. I hate paying for ink, so I'm headed for color laser. Does anyone have any specific experience, good or bad, and/or experience with the products that are available? I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks

Re: Color Laser Printer

We've been happy with the Brother line (inexpensive) and the Xerox line (very good quality).

$400 for network and duplex

$550 for network and duplex

Re: Color Laser Printer

I ended up with an HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer with duplex capability. After talking with several people and doing some additional research, there was a strong consensus that I should stay with ink jet versus going to laser unless I was planning to print several hundred sheets a month, if not a week. I don't do anywhere near that level of printing. Given that, I stayed with inkjet.

This new line has the replaceable heads separate from the ink tanks, which makes the ink much more affordable I've had it for a couple of months (It is network ready, so easy to make available to every printer on your network.) and remain very pleased. It is very slow with duplex color, but I do so little printing that is not an issue.
